Requirements -- High Security -- Level 6
High Security Cross Cut Shredders can be used for paper only.
They are evaluated for compliance and must meet or exceed NSA/CSS
Specification 02-01 (Level 6.) These standards require that the material
be cut into extremely small particles, which present a practical
impossibility of being reconstructed onto a readable document. Older
shredder technology was no match for today's supercomputers, which using
optical scanning technology and highly mathematical algorithms, can
literally reconstruct a document, or large numbers of documents, from
the shred produced by conventional commercial shredders.
We have a wide variety of high security shredders available which meet
or exceed NSA/CSS requirments. I addition to standard crosscut
shredders, we also have the Datastroyer 0077 SL, which adds the
additional feature of producing shread of non-uniform sizes, greatly
complicating the task of document reconstruction. Our high security
shredders are on the NSA Evaluated Products List (EPL) and are approved
for ALL levels of classified paper destruction, to include: SAP (Special
Access Programs), COMSEC (Communications Secure), SCI (Sensitive
Compartmented Information) and TS (Top Secret).
For the destruction of other items such as CDs, DVDs, credit cards,
cassettes, keytape, ID cards, microfilm, floppy disks, memory sticks,
and more, in addition to paper, it is necessary to move up to a
disintegrator. High Security disintegrators are NSA Evaluated to Meet or
Exceed NSA/CSS Specification 02-02 (Level 6) for paper, 04-01 for
Keytape, and 04-02 for Optical Media (CDs/DVDs). They will meet high
security standards when the produced shredded material will pass a a
3/32” screen.

not need to sift through hundreds of different products looking for one
that meets your needs. We only sell equipment rated for High Security,
Level 6. We try and keep it simple. There is a one page for shredders,
one page for disintegrators and one detailing available supplies. The
shredder and disintegrator pages are arranged in tabular form, with the
equipment listed in order from lowest throughput through highest.
Throughput is related to power and size, so pricing will typically range
from lowest to highest, with a few exceptions. If you need a larger
machine, we also have those available.
